The arts touch something deep within each of us. A special song or piece of music, a lovely poem or a play, a beautiful painting or a sacred space, each can move us into a more intimate experience of the Spirit that gives us life.

This class will focus on how the visual arts can connect us with the Divine as we consider art from various parts of the world and from different moments in time.

Come and grow your faith as we explore Scriptures and Bible lessons that may have inspired art as well as what we see reflected in the art and how the art may or may not move you.

This is an online Zoom class that consists of six sessions, facilitated by Ellen Olson Schippert.

Dates: October 8, 15, 22, 29, November 12, 19.
We will take a break the week of November 5.

There are two offerings on each date you can sign up for:
Tuesday mornings from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Storm on the Sea of Galilee

Note: The class is open to friends and members of Lexington UMC in Michigan and Brook Hill UMC in Maryland. Ellen hopes to limit the size of each class to nine to facilitate group sharing.
